Comment: Japanese data-protection regulators to tackle legislative update, content moderation in 2024

In 2023, Japan's Personal Information Protection Commission, or PPC, demonstrated its authority as the country's unified data-protection regulator when it took action against the Digital Agency and municipalities for the mismanagement of national identification-number cards.
