Comment: Google-Fitbit remedy decision could set stage for tough court battle in Australia

There was a stand-out sentence in the press release announcing that Australia’s competition watchdog would reject the commitments put forward by Google to allay regulatory fears over its acquisition of Fitbit.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, or ACCC, said that it had extended its decision date for reviewing the transaction
