Comment: Decision on Alstom executive a blow to anticorruption prosecutors, but far from a knockout

The surprise acquittal of ex-Alstom executive Lawrence Hoskins, a UK national, on bribery charges struck a blow against the US Justice Department's expansive view of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The agency retains, though, another major avenue to pursue non-US individuals involved in bribery.
