Comment: As the EU struggles with its climate targets, a big political year ratchets up uncertainty

Europe is a frontrunner in the fight to limit climate change, but it is already struggling to meet targets at a time when it needs to be going much further and faster. Two recent reports were eye-openers in this respect, suggesting climate-related and environmental challenges loom large in the year ahead.
