Comment: As Aon-Willis review continues, 'reasonable best efforts' clause could play role

Aon’s acquisition of Willis Towers Watson is now in the seventh month of an in-depth review by the US Department of Justice, and both analysts and third parties are skeptical that the deal can receive regulatory approval without divestitures. Aon has said as recently as December (see here) that divestitures aren’t needed.
