WhatsApp sues Indian government to protect users’ privacy rights

WhatsApp has filed a lawsuit in the Delhi High Court challenging new Indian intermediary rules that would require the US messaging app to provide access to encrypted messages, thereby violating users' privacy, MLex has learned.
