WhatsApp files court appeal against Irish GDPR fine to add to judicial review request (update*)

WhatsApp has filed an Irish court appeal against its recent data protection fine of 225 million euros ($265 million), MLex has learned, setting up the potential prospect of the EU's top judges one day being tasked with ruling on the GDPR’s often criticized “consistency mechanism."
