WhatsApp expects Irish GDPR fines to cost EUR77 million, accounts show (update*)

Messaging service WhatsApp has set aside 77.5 million euros ($92 million) to cover pending Irish fines from the Irish Data Protection Commission under EU privacy rules — but it estimates that the final amount could be anywhere between 35 million euros and 105 million euros.
