WarnerMedia-Discovery merger filed for EU approval

US telecom giant AT&T’s plan to merge its WarnerMedia division with rival Discovery has been filed to the European Commission for antitrust approval.
The EU regulator has set a Dec. 22 deadline to decide on the $43 billion deal.

AT&T said in May that it wanted to spin off WarnerMedia
