Visa, Mastercard fee hikes could necessitate caps, UK payments regulator warns

Visa's and Mastercard’s recent fee increases have no apparent justification, and regulation such as fee caps may be needed to protect card users, the head of the UK's payments watchdog has said.
In a letter (see here) responding to a senior lawmaker, Payment Systems Regulator managing director Chris Hemsley said
