Vienna Insurance Group files acquisition of Aegon units for EU review

Vienna Insurance Group has requested EU approval to acquire units from Dutch peer Aegon, according to an update today on the European Commission's register of deals.
The commission has set an Aug. 20 deadline to decide on the transaction.
