Viasat-Inmarsat deal wins unconditional EU clearance

Viasat has won unconditional EU approval for its takeover of rival satellite operator Inmarsat, after the European Commission dropped concerns that the $7.3 billion deal could harm competition for in-flight Internet services for commercial airlines.
The commission said Viasat’s market position would remain “moderate” and that it would face competition
