Veolia faces gun-jumping probe in Brazil for allegedly failing to notify acquisition of stake in Suez

Paris-based Veolia should have notified the Brazilian competition authority of its acquisition of a minority stake in rival Suez from French utility firm Engie, national antitrust investigators said.

The case is at the Tribunal of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, for a definitive ruling.
