US FTC orders three companies to eliminate noncompete restrictions, marking first suits over no-compete agreements

The US Federal Trade Commission today launched legal action against three companies and two individuals, ordering them to eliminate noncompete agreements affecting thousands of workers employed as security guards, as well as manufacturers in the highly concentrated glass container industry.
 
The actions mark the first time the FTC has sued to halt unlawful
