US FTC nominee Bedoya faces clutch of skeptical Republican senators

US Federal Trade Commission nominee and government surveillance critic Alvaro Bedoya faced skepticism from Republican senators during a confirmation hearing today.

President Joe Biden in September nominated Bedoya, a visiting professor of law at Georgetown University, to fill the third Democratic seat on the five-person commission that regulates antitrust and consumer protection
