US Fed to propose final planks of Basel III capital standards this year, Quarles says

The US Federal Reserve plans to propose this year the last unfinished US rules to implement capital standards of the Basel III agreement aimed at stiffening global requirements in the wake of the 2008-2009 financial crisis, Randal Quarles, the Fed’s Vice Chairman for Bank Supervision, said today.
