US Fed to consider adjustments to leverage capital ratio that keep binding requirements for big banks, Powell says

The US Federal Reserve will consider modifications to the supplementary leverage ratio that maintain binding capital requirements on the largest banks, Fed Chair Jerome Powell told lawmakers today.

He has been urged by Republican senators and regulators to make calibrations in the 2008 standard, enacted in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis,
