US FDIC says it will improve cost-benefit analysis practices in response to Inspector General criticisms

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation said it will improve its cost-benefit analysis practices based on today's recommendations from the Office of Inspector General.

A report published by the OIG (see here) found the FDIC's cost-benefit analysis in rule proposals to be too shallow and inconsistent, and insufficiently transparent.
