US consumer agency plan for customer access to financial records to be submitted for small-business review

A draft US rule proposal to improve customers’ access to their financial records will be submitted by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for small-business review by year-end.

That review will serve as a prelude to the consumer watchdog’s release for public comment of a long-awaited proposal mandated by the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act.
