US antitrust filings jumped last month despite pandemic, marking most for December since 2001

US regulators received 192 antitrust filings in December, the most for that month since 2001 despite the impacts of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. 
December’s jump in Hart-Scott-Rodino filings represent an 11.6 percent increase from the 172 filings in December 2019.
