UnitedHealth-Change Healthcare deal must be blocked to prevent 'real monopoly’ in health insurance, DOJ tells US judge

An injunction is the only remedy against anticompetitive effects that would emerge from UnitedHealth Group’s proposed $13 billion acquisition of Change Healthcare, as the deal will result in a “real monopoly” and harms competition, the US Department of Justice told a federal court judge.
