UK wants to reform ‘burdensome’ privacy laws, build influence over global data governance

The UK wants to cut "burdensome" requirements of retained EU privacy laws and replace them with a "more proportionate, outcome-based compliance regime" while keeping high standards underpinning international data flows, a minister in charge of data said today.
