UK divergence from GDPR risks putting it at competitive disadvantage, researchers say

Any UK divergence from EU privacy rules could put it at a competitive disadvantage as the bloc's rules are "increasingly becoming the global standard" for data protection, and changes may generate unwelcome costs for businesses, researchers said today.
