UK connected-device security rules 'too little, too late,' lawmakers warn

Makers of connected devices won't be pushed hard enough by planned UK cybersecurity legislation to ensure that consumers are protected and should see their obligations toughened, lawmakers have said.

The Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Bill, part of a package of new UK cybersecurity measures (see here), mandates makers and sellers of Internet-connected devices
