UK banks' ring-fencing rules to be examined for competition, competitiveness

A panel amassed by the UK government will assess whether the country's banking-separation rules have had an impact on competition and competitiveness in the sector and if changes should be made to the law.
The independent panel will examine whether there have been any unintended consequences of the ring-fencing legislation
