TPG-Vodafone merger ruling prompts Australian watchdog to wind down its legal challenge

The legal bid to block a merger between Australia’s third and fourth telecommunications companies has ended in defeat for the country’s competition watchdog, which announced it wouldn’t appeal a court’s decision to allow TPG Telecom and Vodafone Hutchison Australia to join forces.
