Tougher enforcement, consumer protection powers in sight for CMA, Coscelli says

The UK’s competition watchdog could soon see reforms to its enforcement and consumer protection tools to address shortcomings, its chief executive said today.

Andrea Coscelli said the Competition and Markets Authority has been working closely with the government to address underenforcement in antitrust and the lack of deterrence in the system,
