TikTok's data-security concerns should be addressed in Japan by privacy law, ruling party group to propose

To address concerns that Japanese users’ data of video-sharing app TikTok may be leaked to the Chinese government, ruling-party lawmakers are planning to recommend in an emergency proposal that Japan should deploy the privacy law as part of its regulatory defense, MLex has learned.
