Tenaris settles for $78 million with US Securities and Exchange Commission over bribery in Brazil

Tenaris, a global manufacturer and supplier of steel pipes for the energy sector, today agreed to pay more than $78 million to settle claims that it violated the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act by using a subsidiary in Brazil to bribe an official of the country's national oil company, Petrobras.
