Telecom companies to see EU review of broadband state aid rules this year

Liberty Global, Orange, Deutsche Telekom and others will be queried this year on updating EU rules governing state spending on broadband infrastructure, as the Covid-19 pandemic underscores the importance of high-speed Internet connections, a Spanish official said today.
