Tech groups say Washington state health data privacy bill is too broad

Tech industry lobbying groups said they support the goal of proposed Washington state legislation that would prohibit selling consumer health data in an effort to protect those seeking abortions or gender-affirming care.

But at a public hearing today, tech groups also argued that the bill's language is too broad and too easily confused
