Suzuken faces fine of $2.8 million in Japan prescription-drug bid-rigging case

Tokyo public prosecutors are seeking a fine of 300 million yen ($2.8 million) against major Japanese drug wholesaler Suzuken and a two-year prison term for its former executive at a Tokyo court. The case involves bid-rigging allegations over prescription drugs sold to a public-hospital operator.
