South Korea's LS Mtron, Cooper Standard Automotive hit with $1.1 million tech-theft fine

Cooper Standard Automotive and machinery maker LS Mtron have been hit with a fine of 1.3 billion won ($1.1 million) for the theft of a mold-making technology owned by a smaller business partner — the highest penalty ever issued in South Korea for technology misappropriation.
