Skating Union sees anticompetitive eligibility rules confirmed by EU court

Speed-skating’s governing body has seen EU judges rule that its eligibility rules for athletes taking part in rival events breach antitrust law.

But the lower-tier General Court said the European Commission’s 2017 decision was “wrong to dispute the International Skating Union’s arbitration rules.”
