Proposed Washington Privacy Act moves forward in state legislature despite objections

The proposed Washington Privacy Act moved forward out of the Washington state House Appropriations Committee by a 19-14 vote last night despite strong objections from business and tech groups to a recently added limited private right of action.

The Washington House Committee on Civil Rights and Judiciary narrowly approved the so-called striker amendment
