Pan-European batteries investment worth EUR2.9 billion approved by EU

Tesla, BMW, Enel and Solvay are among the companies set to benefit from billions of euros in funding to bolster Europe's battery technologies, after the European Commission approved a 2.9 billion-euro ($3.5 billion) investment by a dozen countries.
