News Corp.'s anticompetitive actions, staggered contracts contributed to Valassis' exit from US market, economist testifies

News Corp. engaged in several anticompetitive actions involving in-store marketing that raised barriers to entry, made it difficult for entrants to achieve critical mass and contributed to the exit of Valassis from the US market, an expert witness for Valassis testified today during the second week of the trial.
