Lawyer for former Fox executive asks for mistrial as US judge deems witness inconsistencies in soccer corruption trial ‘troubling’

Lawyers for a former 21st Century Fox executive today asked a US judge to declare a mistrial in a soccer corruption case, citing alleged inconsistencies between testimony on the stand from the star cooperating witness and his earlier proffers with the government — discrepancies the judge acknowledged as “troubling.”
