JetBlue, Spirit Airlines receive US DOJ request for additional information about their deal

JetBlue Airways and Spirit Airlines have received a request for additional information from the US Department of Justice about their $3.8 billion merger, MLex has learned.

The antitrust waiting period was set to expire today, but the companies received the “second request,” which extends the agency’s deadline for review of the deal.
