Japanese court upholds 2019 JFTC ruling on supermarket's abuse of superior bargaining position

The Tokyo High Court today ruled in favor of the Japan Fair Trade Commission by rejecting supermarket chain Ralse’s suit against the antitrust regulator’s 1.3 billion yen ($12 million) sanctions and cease-and-desist order for its abuse of superior bargaining position against 88 of its suppliers.
