Japan’s former tax commissioner Kazuyuki Furuya nominated as new antitrust chief

Japan’s former national tax agency commissioner was nominated to head the Japan Fair Trade Commission today, MLex has learned.
Assistant Chief Cabinet Secretary Kazuyuki Furuya was nominated to succeed JFTC Chairman Kazuyuki Sugimoto after he reaches the retirement age of 70 this September, a parliamentary official told MLex.
