Irish data regulator plans GDPR enforcement shift to systemic, larger cases

Big Tech’s European data protection regulator will focus its limited resources on tackling systemic data wrongdoing, it has said.
The Irish Data Protection Commission, which is responsible for enforcing companies like Google, Meta and Twitter’s compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, today released its strategy for 2022-2027 (see here).
