Instagram users press biometric privacy claims in wake of US-record Facebook facial recognition settlement

In the wake of the $650 million haircut Facebook had to take to settle a biometric privacy case over its use of facial recognition, a new set of plaintiffs are pushing forward with similar claims against Instagram, saying Facebook’s photo-sharing app violated the same Illinois privacy law.
