India's data-protection law faces further delays, as review panel requests more time

India’s long-awaited data-protection legislation appears unlikely to be enacted any time soon, with the new head of a parliamentary panel reviewing the bill asking parliament to extend the deadline for filing his committee’s report on the proposal.
The request was made by BJP politician PP Chaudhary, who was announced yesterday
