Hyundai-Daewoo shipbuilding deal risks EU prohibition as remedies fail to convince

Hyundai Heavy Industries and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering have failed to convince the EU merger regulator that their proposed remedies would offset the loss of competition caused by their proposed tie-up, MLex has learned, increasing the risk that the deal will be blocked.
