Google's Fitbit deal suffers Australian regulatory delay, as watchdog observes global response

Google’s proposed $2.1 billion acquisition of smartwatch maker Fitbit has suffered a significant setback in Australia, with the country’s competition authority announcing a four-month delay in its assessment of the deal — the third time the watchdog has rescheduled a deadline in its review.
