Google nears final approval of US class settlement in Covid-19 exposure notification privacy litigation

Google's deal resolving privacy litigation over Covid-19 exposure notification appears headed for final approval, a US judge said at a virtual hearing today.

But US Magistrate Judge Nathanael Cousins in San Jose, California, said plaintiffs' attorneys will first need to explain why they're seeking $2 million in fees.
