Google gets request from industry association to pay for news content in India

Claims that tech giants are profiting unfairly from news organizations' journalism are galvanizing in India, where Google has been asked to compensate Indian newspapers for their content that appears on the search engine.

The Indian Newspaper Society, or INS, has also asked that the publishers’ share of the advertising revenue be increased
