Google eludes US wiretapping claims in Chrome case, but privacy allegations survive

Google won't have to face claims that it violated US wiretapping and anti-computer hacking laws by collecting data from Chrome users, even if they chose not to “sync” the browser to a Google account, a federal judge in Silicon Valley has ruled.
