Global South suffers under wealthy countries’ IP protection regimes, advocates tell USITC

Intellectual property (IP) protection rules enforced by high-income countries such as the US have allowed pharmaceutical companies to delay and deny the global South’s access to affordable diagnostics, medications, and vaccines, advocacy group representatives told the US International Trade Commission today.
